Al-Wakrah Stadium, located in Al-Wakrah, Qatar, is a football stadium with a retractable roof. It was the second stadium to be built for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, following the renovation of Khalifa International Stadium.

 

The stadium showcases a distinctive design combining elements of curvilinear postmodernism and neo-futurism. The inspiration for the roof's aesthetic derives from the graceful sails of traditional Dhow boats, historically utilized by pearl divers in the Persian Gulf as they navigated through the currents.
