The Great Mosque of Mecca, also known as al-Masjid al-Ḥarām, the Holy Mosque, or Haram Mosque, is a significant religious site in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It was constructed to encompass the Kaʿbah, the most sacred shrine in Islam. Drawing millions of worshippers annually, it stands as one of the key destinations of pilgrimages.

Dating back to the 16th century, the oldest sections of the current structure add to its historical significance. The mosque features a rectangular central courtyard with covered prayer areas surrounding it, serving as the venue for various pilgrimage rituals.
